Cancun (in Spanish: kaŋkun) is a city in the southeast of Mexico, located on the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is a major tourist destination renowned media, as well as being the seat of the municipality of Benito Juarez. The city is located on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of the points in eastern Mexico. Cancun is located just north of the Caribbean coast resort in Mexico, known as the Riviera Maya.
